She was born in İstanbul. She was interested in the movies at very young ages. Since her mother is a director and father is an actor, her childhood passed in movie sets. She shooted short films with the camera she handled when she was four. In these years she acted in movies as a child actress and began dubbing in commercial films.

In 2004 she started to be a professional as being asistant director of the movie ‘Dark Face of the Moon’. Then; after she had worked in commercial films as assistant director, she became first asistant director and executive producer of the movie ‘Nazim Hikmet – Blue Eyed Giant’.

She holded the position as general coordinator in the departments of film & video editing, sound design and dubbing in Hayal post production studios, between 2008-2010.

The short movie ‘Brush Stroke’ which she shooted in 2010, joined numerous national & international festivals and was awarded with ‘Human Rights Honour Prize’ in International Patras Film Festival organised in Patras, Greece.

On the purpose of proceeding her productions to international standards, she founded Kinema Film company.

She became lead actress, script-writer and producer of the movie ‘The Miracle’ produced by Kinema Film. In addition to successes mentioned above, Nihan Belgin is a co-partner of ‘Sinevizyon Film’ which has been making movie productions since 1991.
